Job Description
The customer service representative is responsible for receiving and processing orders and handling customer issues.
+ Confer with customers by telephone, fax, email or in person to provide information about products or services, take or enter orders, cancel accounts, or obtain details of complaints
+ Responds thoroughly and promptly to all inquiries; interprets and explains service policies and procedures
+ Makes proactive recommendations and decisions related to customer service matters
+ Assist customers with quotes, pricing sheets, order confirmations, product listings, billing adjustments, literature and samples
+ Check to ensure that appropriate changes were made to resolve customers'' problems
+ Keep records of customer interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken
+ Solicit sales of new or additional services or products
+ Match orders truck deliveries and coordinate with appropriate personnel
+ Provide administrative support to the inside and outside sales teams
+ Must be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time and keep commitments for return calls and follow-up
+ Responsible for specialized duties as delegated by management with limited supervision
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills required
+ Must be customer focused; possess strong time management skills, problem solving ability, strong follow-through skills, and excellent phone and e-mail etiquette
+ Must lift/move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Required Skills
+ Excellent customer service skills
+ Computer literacy with ability to learn new computer software programs
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills
+ Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
+ Standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time - up to 8 hours or more per day
Required Experience
+ High school diploma, some college preferred
+ Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years related experience
+ Building industry knowledge preferred
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
